Rebecca Radcliff
Rebecca is a cartographer, fantasy mapmaker, and illustrator specializing in watercolor, as well as an oil painter with a penchant for Neoclassic, Romanticism, Post-Impressionism, and Expressionism genres. In her art, she enjoys weaving together stories that encourage wonder and curiosity in the heart and mind of the viewer. Her own inspiration is often found in myth & folklore, naturalism, and animism, as well as in biology, phytochemistry, and history. A born and raised Pennsylvania German from just outside of Kutztown in Berks County, it's not uncommon to find elements of Deitsch culture and braucherei deeply embedded in her work.
Rebecca graduated from Mansfield University with a Bachelor's Degree of Art History, as well as receiving a Master's Degree of Science with a focus in phytochemistry. Although she has been an artist for most of her life, her art career began at 14 years where she designed and framed allegorical insect sculptures and jewelry for a local entomologist. She has spent many years volunteering for community and environmental causes and loves to share artistic experiences with young children and the elderly. Additionally, Rebecca has also worked as a professional botanical formulator and natural perfumer since the late 1990s. Her greatest passions in life are botanical chemistry, the Arts, and exploring the sublime wonder of the natural world.
