The Arts can often be a saving grace for children and teens who are struggling with school, home life, behavioral issues, and self-esteem.  The WIAC is proud to offer itself as a step to help kids and families with these difficult struggles using art as a vehicle for change.

The WIAC has previously partnered with 11 county school districts to create beautiful murals in the students' communities and has collaborated with River Rock Academy for Troubled Youths in Cressona to offer weekly art classes for their students who have left the standard public school system.  The Walk In also works with IU29's Achieve and Summer programs to provide art opportunities to students outside the normal school structure.
