Ray Dorian
My name is Ray Dorian. I was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and have been a Schuylkill County resident since 1988.
I graduated from Temple University Fine Arts Program where I studied drawing, painting, and printmaking. I then graduated from Temple University Law School, and worked as a lawyer for the State of Pennsylvania while raising two daughters with my late wife.
Being recently retired affords me more time to focus on developing and refining my artistic skills in drawing and painting.
I am most interested in representational art and portraiture. My goal is to form a connection between the viewer and subject through capturing the intricacies of the human form either realistically or abstractly.
I draw inspiration from the works of Salvador Dali, Max Ernst and George Grosz. My work has been exhibited in group and juried shows.
