Veterans Day -November 11, 2026- The Story Begins...

On Veterans Day, November 11, 2026, as our nation commemorates its 250th anniversary, the Walk In Art Center invites Schuylkill County residents to sit down with a veteran in their lives and preserve a story. Throughout the day, veterans will be invited to participate in recorded interviews conducted by a family member, friend, student, neighbor, or other person of their choosing. Participants of all ages are welcome to serve as interviewers. A rain date will be scheduled to accommodate participants who are unable to attend on November 11.

The premise is simple: one person asking another to tell their story.

These conversations might explore military service, but they can also reach beyond it: childhood, family, friendship, work, homecoming, sacrifice, humor, ordinary moments, or the experiences that shaped a life.…
