Pumpkin Pails Pottery Workshop

Get ready for Halloween with a pumpkin that won’t end up on the compost pile! Join WIAC Studio Artist Kelly Mueller for this two-session pottery workshop and create your own one-of-a-kind ceramic pumpkin pail, part jack-o’-lantern, part sculpture, and completely your own.

In the first three-hour session, Kelly will guide you through hand-building your pumpkin form and transforming it with expressive faces, quirky features, handles, horns, ears, or whatever strange personality emerges. Go spooky, funny, folk-art inspired, wonderfully weird, or somewhere in between. No two pumpkin pails will be alike.

Return for the second session to bring your creation to life with glazes, color, pattern, and surface details. After glazing, your pumpkin will be fired and ready in time for Halloween.

Use your finished pail to hold Halloween candy, fill with seasonal flowers, or simply display as a piece of handmade fall art you’ll want to bring out…
