Mothership: Source and Satellite

The Walk In Art Center presents Mothership: Source and Satellite, a collaborative exhibition by mother and daughter artists Lorraine Felker and Lori Remmel. Though both artists are familiar presences at the Walk-In, this marks the first time they will exhibit together, expanding their individual practices while creating new work in dialogue for this show.

This exhibition brings together two practices bound by touch, labor, and material intelligence. Working across fiber, sculpture, and mixed media, Felker and Remmel approach making from different vantage points while sharing a deep sensitivity to the histories carried within materials.

Lorraine Felker, a fiber artist based in Schuylkill County, works across basketry, weaving, knitting, and felting. Her pieces emerge through continuity, techniques refined over years of practice and knowledge passed hand to hand.
