Dorset Button Tutorial
Learn the traditional technique of Dorset button making in this hands-on fiber class. Dorset Buttons date back to the early 1600's are basically a ring wrapped with some type of thread, Participants will be guided through the process of creating a wrapped and stitched button using your choice of either a small plastic or wooden ring and fingering or worsted weight yarns. This beginner-friendly tutorial introduces foundational skills while producing a functional and decorative handmade button.
