Botanical Bas Relief Plaster Casting

Capture the beauty of nature and transform it into a timeless work of art.

In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, participants will create a botanical bas relief sculpture using fresh flowers, leaves, grasses, and other natural materials. Students will begin by arranging plant specimens into a pleasing composition and pressing them into clay to capture their delicate textures and intricate details. Once the plant material is removed, plaster is carefully mixed and poured into the mold, preserving the beauty of the botanical forms in a permanent cast.

As the plaster cures, participants are encouraged to slow down and enjoy the creative experience. Bring a lunch or your favorite beverage (BYOB for those 21+) and spend time socializing with fellow makers.
