Art Adventures with Pablo: Mad Libs Paintings

Shake off the dust and wake up your imagination! This class is all about playful chaos and unexpected connections. We’ll start by building a list of completely offbeat words, strange, funny, random, poetic, whatever you’re feeling. Those words get dropped into a Mad Libs–style story, creating something unpredictable, a little absurd, and entirely your own.

Then we shift gears and bring that story into the visual world. You’ll illustrate a scene (or the whole wild narrative) through painting, leaning into color, gesture, and whatever spring energy is starting to surface.

This is not about getting it “right.” It’s about letting go, trusting the weird, and following ideas as they unfold. Think of it as a creative reset, part storytelling, part painting, part experiment.

Come alone or bring a co-conspirator. Expect laughter, surprises, and something you didn’t see coming.
